Welcome to Art with Mrs. V.
The Visual Arts program at Montague includes a basic foundation for genre, elements of art, learning about different artists, and introduction to different media such as watercolor, tempera, markers, pastels, and colored pencils. Montague students are not only exposed to the hands-on components of art, but also the language used in art. For example, landscapes would include foreground, middle ground, and background. Portraits would include profile, frontal view, etc. Every TK-5 student receives art for 30 minutes a week.
SEASCAPES
Students learn about various artists and create artwork with different media such as pastels, watercolors, and colored pencils.
STILL LIFE - Watercolors
Still life is one of the various genres of art that students learn about throughout the year.
ELEMENTS OF ART
Students learn about lines, colors, and shapes, and experiment with them in a variety of art forms.
MIXED MEDIA
The students used mixed media to create 3-dimensional art.
HAYSTACKS
Students are exposed to different artists throughout the year such as Vincent Van Gogh.
